**MYXOMATOSIS OUTBREAK – VACCINATE YOUR RABBITS NOW, VACCINE PRICE REDUCED** We have had a rapid increase in the number of rabbits coming in with myxomatosis. There is currently an outbreak amongst the wild rabbits in our area and the virus is now spreading to pet rabbits. We estimate less than 5% of pet rabbits in our area are vaccinated! This a usually a fatal disease that can be prevented by a simple vaccine injection so we highly recommend bringing in your rabbit ASAP if not protected. The vaccine is normally £36 which also includes cover for Viral hemorrhagic disease, another fatal disease carried by wild rabbits. Quote this facebook post and we will reduce this to £26.00 until the end of October. Your rabbit will also be given a free health check at the same time

Susanna was out on a farm today performing a TB test (all cattle have to be tested regularly). Along came a really friendly cow for her test; it turns out she was the farmers pet cow called Daisy that he had hand reared. Susanna fell in love as Daisy was such a star and couldn’t resist a selfie!

We are definitely seeing more ticks in our area and for more of the year. Plus more cases of lymes disease which spread when ticks attach. (Prevention is important) Confirmed by a BBC report this morning – Ticks found on ‘one third’ of dogs, researchers.

Look away if you don’t like beasties! This is a great video showing how effective tick treatments prevent ticks feeding and therefore spreading diseases like Lymes disease to our pets. Most tick treatments do not work this way – ticks have to feed first, please give us a call or pop in for advice on how best to protect your pet. (The product used in the video is a prescription only medicine so we are legally not allowed to tell you what it is online, we can only tell you face to face!)

Our Aggers pump can deliver 20 litres of life saving fluids and nutrients to cattle in a matter of minutes.
It’s also pretty useful for watering the hanging baskets.
