Equine clients – you may have heard that there have been a number of equine influenza outbreaks in the UK and Europe, so far none in Scotland but its spreading. This outbreak seems to be affecting vaccinated animals (although signs are milder). The Animal Health Trust are therefore recommending that the best prevention is for horses that have been had a flu vaccine in the last 6 months to get an injection to ensure sufficient protection.
